Job description

130 year-old, family-run landscaping company seeks a hard-working, responsible individual to join our team. We operate a 16-acre nursery and install our own trees at residential and municipal locations.

Pay and benefits:

· 40+ hours per week, overtime

· Paid holidays and vacation, health and dental insurance

· $17-$22 per hour depending on experience

Your responsibilities will include:

· Installing trees, shrubs and other plantings around Rhode Island

· Digging and prepping trees for transplant

· Driving trucks, loaders, backhoes, towing trailers

· Nursery maintenance: mowing, pruning, chipping, weedwacking, spraying

· Equipment maintenance and clean-up

This position requires:

· Reliable transportation to work

· Valid Driver’s License

· Clean driving record

· Good physical health and ability to lift 50 lbs.

We prefer:

· Experience operating tractors and farming equipment.

· Experience in landscaping

RINLA Apprenticeship: all employees are eligible to earn a federally-recognized Horticulture Apprentice Certificate from the Rhode Island Nursery and Landscape Association. This certificate is earned by developing skills on the job. Pay raises will accompany skill development.
