• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, evaluating patients' trauma experiences to tailor appropriate treatment interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the unique needs of each patient.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.
• Create a safe and supportive environment for both individual and group therapy sessions where patients can process trauma and acquire effective coping strategies.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams alongside psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for patients.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and emotional support in trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm and composed demeanor.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and community resources to support their journey.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, ensuring security and compliance.
• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions to enhance trauma-informed practices and patient care.
• Stay current with developments in trauma therapy and best practices through research and continuous education.

You will work primarily with trauma survivors, facilitating their recovery from a variety of stressors, including emotional, psychological, and physical trauma. Your role centers around creating a therapeutic alliance with clients, allowing them to share their narratives in a non-judgmental and safe space. Empowering patients to confront their past experiences and move toward a healthier future will be at the heart of your daily activities.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, preferably in trauma-focused settings.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
• Proven capability in delivering effective trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient interactions.
• Ability to maintain composure during high-stress situations and support clients effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
• Collaborative mindset, with the ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

• A strong focus on trauma recovery and a nuanced understanding of various therapeutic approaches tailored to individual patient backgrounds.
• Experience in group therapy settings that centers around shared trauma narratives and recovery strategies.
