This position offers a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a structured therapeutic environment. You will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other therapists, enabling an integrated care approach that meets the unique needs of each patient. Regular virtual meetings and consultations will ensure continuity of care and effective communication within the team.

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and identify tailored treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, with specific goals for resilience-building.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy settings.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to process their trauma and cultivate coping strategies.
• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate assistance and resources.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources, enhancing their understanding and support systems.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, ensuring quality of care.
• Engage in regular case consultations and participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and refine treatment protocols.
• Stay informed about current research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve therapeutic approaches.

Your primary focus will be working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including those dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will play a critical role in helping these patients navigate their emotional challenges and develop skills for recovery and resilience.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
• Strong foundation and knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective, trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-focused therapy.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with relevant computer applications.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, showcasing collaboration and teamwork in treatment plans.
