MetroLagoons is hiring for the 2026 opening of the new Seaire Lagoon in Parrish. Team members will be involved in set up and opening of the lagoon as well as ongoing facilities and maintenance.

JOB SUMMARY:

Grounds Hosts are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the lagoon's amenities and keeping all land areas of the lagoon clean and well organized including the beaches, common areas, and buildings. This position is responsible for interacting positively with all staff and guests while always monitoring the lagoon area cleanliness and safety. They also assist with setting up furniture and minor maintenance. Work will be performed almost entirely outdoors.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and order of the lagoon to include sweeping, mopping, taking out the trash, cleaning metal fixtures and fittings, air-blowing, pressure washing, hosing, empty and clean trash containers and laundry bins, clean toilets, mirrors, sinks
  • Use chemicals to clean, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces and restroom facilities
  • Reset all furniture, lawn games, and rental areas
  • Wipe off and disinfect dining areas throughout the property
  • Prep, maintain, and deep clean all rental areas as needed for opening, closing, and throughout the day
  • Ensure all areas are clean and replenish supplies as needed
  • Use a walkie-talkie radio to communicate with other team members and leadership
  • Ensure all guest and team member restrooms are re-stocked throughout the day
  • Become knowledgeable about the facility and its amenities to effectively communicate with guests
  • Perform special projects as requested by the management team
  • Provide excellent customer service and hospitality
  • Assist guests in parking areas as needed
  • Adhere to all safety policies to ensure guests and team members' safety
  • Immediately report any incidents or accidents to a member of the management team
  • Other duties as required, including assisting other departments

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 year janitorial/host experience preferred
  • Basic cleaning knowledge
  • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable personality
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for long and sustained periods
  • Ability to work independently for long periods, staying on task with required responsibilities
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shifts may vary based on business needs
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather including heat, humidity, rain, and cold
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
