Engineer V Building 954, Eglin AFB, FL SED Open Position Request Number: R-R-26 CLASSIFICATION: Engineer V GRADE: Exempt; Regular, Full-Time LOCATION : Eglin AFB, FL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Work with the government engineers to manage workflow and planning of current and future testing on Eglin test range. Provide engineering support for the guns test ranges, apply engineering principles in solving problems requiring advanced engineering techniques, participate in meetings for planning, coordinate and resolve problems associated with task assignments. GENERAL DUTIES: * Job functions will include design, fabrication, installation, testing, and documentation of gun range support equipment, including gun systems, test stands, fire control systems, and data acquisition systems.

* Provide electronic engineering support for test instrumentation including software development and maintenance, sensor integration, system calibration, and data validation. * Systems will include measurements of pressure, flow, acceleration, strain, velocity, X-Y scoring, and calculated aeroballistic coefficients. * Develop and maintain software in C, C++, and LabView, and integrate with test equipment and sensors.

Job Requirements OTHER DUTIES : Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor of Science degree Engineering, Math, Physics, or similar field is required, plus a minimum of ten years relevant experience. Must have working knowledge of related sciences and engineering disciplines.

Requires knowledge and expertise such that decisions can be independently made with regard to engineering tasks. A background in C, C++, and LabView is desired. OTHER REQUIREMENTS : This position requires a Secret security clearance.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies.
