Job Summary
The Part-Time General Laborer is responsible for the clean-up of the yard, transfer station, and along the road in a safe and efficient manner. They may also assist with pressure washing of carts, containers and bins in the yard. The General Laborer must have the ability to regularly perform extensive physical activity and strenuous work while working outdoors. Frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing stairs and ladders. This position is Safety Sensitive (No equipment operation). It requires drug and alcohol testing in compliance with 49 CFR part 382, this includes marijuana.
Primary Job Duties
C Cleaning the loose trash in the yard, transfer station, and along the road with a trash picker.
As Assisting Yard Techs in the cleaning of garbage containers, carts and bins.
Maintaining a clean & safe work environment in the yard and transfer station.
Winter yard maintenance, shoveling, salting/sanding facility pathways and sidewalks
Other tasks as assigned
Education and Experience
HS Diploma/GED OR Must be legally authorized to work in the US
Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions/ work orders to complete daily assignments.
Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs continuously throughout the day.
Good attitude, strong work history and strong work ethic,
Physical Requirements:
Lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, walking outside being exposed to the elements.
This position is Safety Sensitive (No equipment operation). It requires drug and alcohol testing in compliance with 49 CFR part 382, this includes marijuana.
