The TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card is a security clearance issued by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) that allows workers unescorted access to secure areas of ports, vessels, and other maritime facilities. These jobs are common in shipping, logistics, and other waterfront industries, and having a TWIC card is mandatory for compliance with federal regulations. Workers in these roles must pass a background check and meet eligibility requirements to obtain the TWIC card.
