Job description

Project Title: Flat Creek Water Pollution Control Plant
Location: Dawsonville, Georgia
Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM with overtime opportunities
Pay Range: $28+/hr based on experience
Company Overview:
Haren Construction Company, Inc. specializes in water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and commercial and industrial types of construction.
The skilled laborer will work on multiple tasks each day and have various skill sets as necessary. The laborer will receive assignments from the supervisor and will need to be able to perform tasks without close supervision.
Essential Responsibilities:
The skilled laborer position will include but is not limited to the following duties:
  • Be able to understand and work within company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist team with the shovel work, pipework, framing, finish work, formwork, concrete work, cleanup, and any miscellaneous labor needs.
  • Operate heavy equipment vehicles such as forklifts, mini excavators, excavators, and trackhoes as needed.
  • Frequently use various hand and power tools used in commercial construction such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and various other equipment and instruments.
  • Work is performed outside in all types of environmental conditions. This position performs strenuous physical activities for long periods, under varying and adverse field conditions. This position must be able to lift and/or carry up to 80 lbs., stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above the shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull. May be required to work at elevated heights.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least five years of commercial/industrial construction experience.
  • Experienced track hoe operator in construction environments.
