Job description

Pediatrician (MD/DO)
Compensation: $231,000 - $300,000 annually (based on experience)
Relocation assistance available
Job Type: Full-time, Mondays to Fridays 8-5 PM or 4 day (10 hour shift available).
Location: Greater Sacramento area, CA (Multiple locations available)
We are seeking a full-time Pediatrician to provide comprehensive primary care services to children and adolescents (birth through age 19) in a community health center setting. This role offers the opportunity to serve a diverse, underserved population while working within a collaborative, mission-driven team environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child visits, acute care, and chronic disease management
  • Perform thorough histories and physical exams, develop differential diagnoses, and implement treatment plans
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostics
  • Prescribe medications and manage age-appropriate therapies
  • Provide developmental, behavioral, and preventive care services
  • Deliver culturally competent patient and family education
  • Coordinate specialty referrals and consultations as needed
  • Maintain productivity standards while delivering high-quality care
  • Review and respond to clinical messages, labs, and reports in a timely manner
  • Complete accurate, timely documentation and billing in the electronic health record
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education
Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school (or FMG with ECFMG certification)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
  • Must have 2+ years of post residency experience; no new grads.
  • Experience managing pediatric preventive care, acute and chronic conditions, and developmental/behavioral concerns
  • Familiarity with clinical quality measures (HRSA core measures, HEDIS, PCMH) preferred
  • Active, unrestricted California medical license
  • Community health center or FQHC experience preferred
  • Comfortable treating three patients per hour
  • EPIC experience
  • In-basket management competency
  • Bilingual skills in English and Russian, Farsi, Pashto/Pushto, or Spanish strongly preferred
