Rheumatologist (MD/DO)

Location: Salem, OR
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $230,000 to $300,000 Annually (DOE)***
Relocation & Sign-On Bonus Available**


Schedule & Location:

  • Monday–Friday | Day shift
  • 8-hour shifts
  • 40 hours per week
  • In-person, outpatient practice
  • No inpatient duties

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Rheumatologist (MD/DO) to join our growing outpatient practice in Salem, Oregon. This role is essential to delivering expert, high-quality care for patients with rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions. The physician will practice independently, providing comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and monitoring therapeutic outcomes, while supporting our mission of compassionate, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and management of adult rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions
  • Perform in-office procedures including joint aspirations and injections
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
  • Interpret laboratory and imaging results and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Collaborate with internal specialists and external referring providers for coordinated, multidisciplinary care
  • Educate and counsel patients on disease processes, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the EMR
  • Participate in a shared outpatient call schedule (no inpatient responsibilities)
  • Contribute to clinical program development and quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with 2+ years of Rheumatology experience (required)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
  • Active, unrestricted Oregon Medical License (or ability to obtain)
  • Current DEA license
  • Strong EMR and computer proficiency
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a team-based environment
