Pan-Am Dental Laboratory is a full-service dental laboratory that partners with dental professionals to design and fabricate a wide range of dental restorations and appliances. With a focus on quality, consistency and clinical accuracy, Pan-Am Prides itself with happy patients and happy business partners.  Headquartered in Savannah, GA, Pan-Am Has two additional locations in Houston, TX and Sandy, UT – allowing us to serve a base of clients covering the entire country.

Position Summary

The Data Entry Specialist plays a critical role in the accuracy and efficiency of our operations by ensuring all customer cases are entered into our system quickly, precisely, and with exceptional attention to detail. As a key member of our team, this individual helps establish the foundation on which every successful dental restoration is built.

This position goes far beyond traditional data entry. It offers the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to dental products, terminology, and laboratory workflows. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and committed to quality, but also curious and eager to deepen their understanding of the dental process—from initial prescription all the way to the final restoration delivered to the patient.

In this role, you’ll develop real industry knowledge, contribute to smooth case transitions, and play an essential part in ensuring that each case is set up for success from the very beginning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process both digital and analog cases; open cases, verify contents, and review customer order requirements
  • Accurately enter all incoming case information into the computer system and generate corresponding work tickets.
  • Assign proper coding to cases for data entry and workflow routing
  • Update and maintain computer work tickets, including placing cases on hold and adjusting dates, codes or other critical information as needed
  • Scan and electronically archive paperwork for each case in accordance with documentation protocols
  • Retrieve historical paperwork or case files as needed for case clarification, reworks, or reference
  • Organize and manage digital impressions and case records following established laboratory procedures
  • Continuously expand knowledge of dental terminology, restorative products, and laboratory processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Understand and follow the established case flow and scheduling operations
  • Perform additional duties or tasks as assigned to support team and laboratory operations
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Proficiency with computers, file management and applications
  • Able to pick up software programs (magic Touch) with ease
  • Have practical knowledge of customer service practices and principles
  • Excellent data entry and typing skills
  • Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Understand different script terminologies for case entry
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Can successfully multi-task
  • Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology preferred, but not required
