A laboratory courier makes pick-ups and deliveries for medical organizations and businesses, either by foot, bike, or automobile. In this career, you deliver a wide range of things, such as medical records, lab samples and specimens, test results, medicines, and medical images. You may work within a single hospital or medical facility, carrying packages to and from labs. Others make deliveries between medical offices or independent clinics. Common duties may include delivering blood specimens from a doctor’s office to the blood lab or delivering an x-ray from a hospital to an orthopedic clinic.
