A medical delivery technician handles the installation of health care equipment on-site in hospitals, care facilities, or in a private home. As a medical delivery technician, your responsibilities include setting up the devices as well as testing and calibrating the equipment to ensure safe operation. You also instruct the patient or caregiver on how to use the equipment, including cleaning and routine maintenance. You may work with a variety of assistive devices, from beds and wheelchairs to more sophisticated machinery. Other duties include traveling to medical locations to deliver orders and keeping accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance.
