Maria Parham Health, a Duke LifePoint Hospital, is the region's healthcare provider, offering comprehensive services supported by skilled physicians, nurses, and clinical specialists. How you'll contribute
The Laboratory Coordinator performs and demonstrates proficiency in one or more areas of the clinical laboratory while exercising independent judgment and responsibility in the performance of complex laboratory testing. This role supports high-quality patient care by performing diagnostic testing on patient specimens to assist physicians in the diagnosis and monitoring of disease states. The Laboratory Coordinator assists with training and oversight of laboratory personnel as assigned and is responsible for Laboratory Information System (LIS) functions, including system file maintenance and support of the laboratory quality assurance program. This position ensures compliance with all applicable quality, safety, and regulatory standards while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality in all laboratory operations.

What we're looking for

  • Associate's in MLT or Bachelor's in MT Required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's in Medical Laboratory Science Preferred
  • AMLT Certification or Equivalent Required within 1 year of hire
  • ASCP or Equivalent preferred
