Job description

OVERVIEW:

This Smart Construction Solutions Expert will be based on the Western side of North Dakota around the Bismarck, Minot, Williston area. They will calibrate and maintain Komatsu iMachines as well as train customers in the application of GPS solutions on their job site. This person will work with PSSRโ€™s & Salesmen to promote General Equipment & Supplies products/services, while helping the customer control their costs through innovative ideas, and minimizing downtime. Will serve as the coordinator for the intelligent machine control support strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set up, calibrate and position check new and used machines within spec
  • Work with the Service Department on intelligent machines that are in for repair and coordinate calibration time
  • Assist the Service Department on diagnosis and repairs of GPS/Machine control items
  • Schedule machine updates with customers
  • Complete machine updates in the field or the shop
  • Watch for factory campaigns related to GPS/machine control components
  • Help customers set up job sites and machines on site
  • Perform Smart Construction Experiences with salesman and customers
  • Identify customer emergencies and manage priorities accordingly
REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Qualified candidate will have a 4-year degree or a 2-year degree with work experience. Degree(s) and work must be in a related field to either Construction Machinery,
  • Construction Management, Project Management and/or Business Management.
  • Must have excellent internal and external customer service skills
  • Organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects
  • Must have a positive mental attitude and be able to accept coaching
  • Individual must possess the understanding of process flows within an organization
  • Willing to ask questions when necessary
  • Able to think ahead and keep in close contact with managers so that information can be communicated in a timely manner
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Quickly learn and use Distributor business system
  • Communicate the needs of the customer and work with necessary teams within General Equipment.
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and use problem solving techniques to promptly and accurately address customer issues.
  • Must be eager, driven, and a self-starter capable of working alone effectively.
