This opportunity allows you to work across multiple facilities in the Southwest region, including St. George Regional Hospital, Cedar City Hospital, Delta Community Hospital, Fillmore Community Hospital, Garfield Memorial Hospital, and Sevier Valley Hospital.

About the Southwest Resource Pool RN Role - Night Shift:

As a Night Shift Resource Pool RN, you'll be a key member of every team you support-floating to areas of greatest need to ensure safe staffing and exceptional patient care across multiple facilities.

This role offers exposure to a diverse range of specialties and patient populations, allowing you to build a broad and versatile skill set. You'll work alongside experienced teams while developing adaptability, confidence, and strong clinical judgment.

The Resource Pool offers a 10% float differential, along with night shift differential, and a flexible holiday and weekend scheduling structure designed to support worklife balance.

You'll also have opportunities to crosstrain into specialty areas such as Women's Services, Labor & Delivery, Acute Care, and Intensive Care, with the potential for additional financial incentives as you expand your skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and evidencebased nursing care across multiple units and facilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Adapt quickly to new environments, teams, and patient care needs
  • Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and interdisciplinary partners
  • Monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Respond effectively to urgent and emergent situations
  • Educate patients and families to support recovery and safe transitions of care
  • Uphold professional and ethical nursing standards while representing the Resource Pool team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in the state of practice

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a BSN within five years of start date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verified)

  • Strong adaptability, communication, and criticalthinking skills
  • Interest in working across multiple specialties and facilities
  • Previous experience in acute care or specialty units
  • Prior night shift experience preferred

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Fulltime night shift positions available (shift differential offered)

  • 10% Resource Pool differential applied to all hours worked
  • Flexible holiday scheduling and varied weekend requirements
  • Potential for additional incentives with specialty crosstraining
  • Relocation assistance may be available for qualified external candidates

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.

Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.

Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).
