Imprimus Labels & Packaging is a leading manufacturer of high-quality pressure-sensitive labels serving top brands in cosmetics, food, beverage, and consumer products. We are growing and looking for a skilled Estimator to join our team in Brea, CA.
If you understand label construction, printing processes, and costing, and want to make an impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this is the opportunity for you.
Position Summary
The Estimator is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates and production plans for custom label jobs. You will work closely with Sales, Operations, and Purchasing to ensure quotes are competitive, manufacturable, and aligned with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate quotes for flexo, digital, and converting jobs
  • Analyze materials, labor, tooling, and run specifications
  • Partner with Sales on pricing strategy and alternatives
  • Collaborate with Operations on production feasibility and routing
  • Coordinate with Purchasing on material costs and lead times
  • Create clear job plans for production handoff
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
Qualifications
  • 3+ years in estimating, planning, or production (label/packaging preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of flexographic and digital printing processes
  • Familiarity with label materials, adhesives, and converting
  • Experience with ERP systems (Label Traxx, EFI, Radius, etc.) preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk in a manufacturing environment. The role frequently involves using the hands to handle materials, tools, and computer equipment, as well as occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The employee may occasionally be required to sit, reach, or climb. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
