Description
Imprimus Labels & Packaging is a well-established and highly respected leader in the label printing industry. With facilities located in California, Ohio, and Texas, we produce high-quality labels and packaging solutions for the cosmetics, personal care, beverage, food, and dietary supplement industries.
We are currently seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Rewind Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, quality-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Paid Shift Differential
  • Air-Conditioned Production Facility

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate rewind machines to slit, count, inspect, and rewind labels in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Review job tickets and work instructions to ensure that production requirements are met accurately.
  • Inspect labels for print defects, registration issues, wrinkles, and other quality concerns during production.
  • Remove defective labels and splice rolls as needed.
  • Complete core labels and properly identify and stack finished orders on carts.
  • Ensure the correct labels and quantities are packaged in the appropriate boxes without mix-ups.
  • Produce and apply outer carton labels using the computer system.
  • Follow all customer specifications, SOPs, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the rewind area and equipment.
  • Promptly communicate production or quality issues to supervisors and press operators.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-3 years of rewind, printing, manufacturing, or related production experience preferred.
  • Experience operating high-speed production equipment is highly desirable.
  • Ability to accurately read rulers and measurements.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Good communication skills and dependable attendance.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds (20 pounds repetitively).
  • Ability to distinguish color variations and inspect printed materials closely.
  • Must be able to work safely around moving machinery and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
