Job description

Title: Lab Technician
Location: Redmond, WA (onsite)
Duration: 12+ month contract
Compensation: $45 - 50/hr.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a lab environment, building hardware, troubleshooting issues, and supporting engineering teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Support daily operations in an engineering lab environment.
  • Build, organize, and maintain hardware inventory and lab equipment.
  • Assist with hardware setup, integration, and functional testing.
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting, including verifying IP connectivity and assisting with debugging network-related issues.
  • Support engineers during test execution and help document test results.
  • Maintain lab organization and ensure equipment is properly configured and ready for testing.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to keep testing activities moving efficiently.
Key Qualifications
  • Experience working in a lab, manufacturing, test, or engineering technician environment.
  • Hands-on experience building, configuring, or testing hardware systems.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including understanding IP addressing and the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Comfortable using standard lab equipment and following test procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to RF testing or wireless systems.
  • Familiarity with spectrum analyzers or other RF test equipment.
