We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Associate Teacher for our Secondary School Science department to work alongside an exceptional and accomplished teaching faculty in the Senior School and assist the Science department with general laboratory technician duties.ย  The successful candidate will have a desire to learn alongside faculty members of the Science department, proactively support students in their learning and be responsible for managing lab equipment in a safe manner.ย  This is a full-time one-year contract position commencing late August 2026.ย 

Position Requirements

โ—ย  ย  ย  An ability to enhance learning through information technology as students are in a laptop environment

โ—ย  ย  ย  A desire to work enthusiastically and collaboratively with faculty

โ—ย  ย  ย  A passion for teaching and a familiarity with best practices for boys

โ—ย  ย  ย  Enthusiasm for contributing to the co-curricular program of school life

โ—ย  ย  ย  Familiarity with setting up lab experiments and proper handling of lab equipment

Work and Educational Experience

โ—ย  ย  ย  A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Science or relevant field of study

โ—ย  ย  ย  A Bachelor of Education in good standing eligible with the Ontario College of Teachers

โ—ย  ย  ย  Any teaching experience at the Secondary School level would be an asset

โ—ย  ย  ย  Knowledge of, or experience with the Ontario Science curriculum would also be an asset

Faculty salaries are based on qualifications and experience.ย  The general range for individuals with less than six years of qualifying teaching experience is $74,000-$105,000 and the general range for individuals with more than six years of qualifying teaching experience is $99,000-$138,000. Final placement within the RSGC faculty grid will be based on a combination of factors.

Eligibility to work in Canada and clearance of a Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Background check is required.
