Weiser Memorial Hospital - rated as one of Idaho's best places to work - is hiring an advanced practice provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) for our Family Medical Center. Our providers are responsible for providing quality medical evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages, to restore, maintain and improve health. This role involves working as part of multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality care while maintaining patient confidentiality, clear communication, and professionalism.
Key duties include providing care through diagnosis, clinical judgement and management in accordance with practice policies and scope of practice. The provider will perform history and physical exams, acute and episodic care, order pertinent lab and diagnostic studies, with interpretation and consultation. The provider works with other medical professionals, delegates tasks as appropriate, and engages in problem-solving and conflict resolution to support a positive team dynamic.
As a provider at our Family Medical Center, you will have access to a wide range of additional services locally, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cardiology, and Podiatry, all available for consultation and collaboration, further enhancing your ability to provide high-quality, comprehensive care.

Requirements
  • Graduation from a school with current licensure from Idaho to practice as a Physician Assistant OR a Nurse Practitioner
  • Current Federal DEA and Idaho Controlled Substance License.
  • Current BLS. ACLS, PALS certifications within one year of hire.
  • Scope of practice is related directly to the PA's or NP's supervising physician and Idaho laws and CMS Conditions of Participation.
  • Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit(s) area(s) or assignment.
  • Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
  • Ability and willingness to work with patients' growth and development needs particularly related to the age of patients in the unit(s) area(s) of assignment.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in family medicine and/or graduate of Residency Program.
  • Bilingual a plus, but not required.
