A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A F&B TRAINING MANAGER:
The Food & Beverage Training Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all training programs and initiatives across the Food & Beverage department. This position plays a critical role in establishing and maintaining service standards consistent with the Bonita Bay Club member experience. In addition to training responsibilities, this role participates in rotational management and supervisory coverage across the Club's dining outlets, providing real-time coaching opportunities, service monitoring, and ongoing identification of training needs.

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 3โ€“5 years of progressive food and beverage experience in an upscale, private club, or fine dining environment.
  • Minimum of 1โ€“2 years in a training, supervisory, or management capacity; private club experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering formal training programs, SOPs, or service curricula; deep working knowledge of front-of-house service standards, fine dining etiquette, and beverage and wine fundamentals.
  • Must be highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing competing priorities across multiple outlets; strong facilitation and public speaking skills with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse hourly workforce.
  • Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as required.
  • Ability to work for extended periods on feet and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Requires excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • ServSafe Food Handler/Manager certification required (or ability to obtain promptly).
  • TIPS or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification required.
  • Certified Hospitality Trainer (CHT) or wine certification (WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers) a plus.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems (Jonas, Northstar, or similar) preferred.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and function as a creative problem solver; collaborative leadership style with the credibility to coach peers and junior staff alike.
  • Ability to pass a drug test
