Standard Job Description You will be the Additive Manufacturing Engineering Lab Manager for the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Additive Manufacturing Engineering Lab which is responsible for advancing additive manufacturing technologies for aerospace applications. What You Will Be Doing As the Additive Manufacturing Engineering Lab Manager you will be responsible for leading a highperforming engineering team that partners across Lockheed Martin to transition emerging AM materials and processes into productionready, certifiable platforms. "Your responsibilities will include:" Lead the engineering team to develop technical roadmaps, secure research funding, and certify materials for tooling and flight hardware.

Oversee operation, maintenance, safety compliance, and budgeting of two dedicated AM labs at separate facilities. Drive crossdisciplinary collaboration and communicate progress and issues to senior leadership and customers. Provide direct engineering support to aeronautics programs and external customers.

The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secretclearance. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT. Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice. Basic Qualifications Engineering or other technical bachelor's degree (STEM).

8years of technical experience in metal and polymer additive manufacturing/3D printing technology, preferably in aerospace or defense. Demonstrated success in developing technology roadmaps and securing funding for R&D projects. Technical leadership capability within challenging technical, cost, and schedule constraints.

Desired Skills Strong knowledge of AM processes and material certification for aerospace applications. Team leadership experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Demonstrated collaboration with internal and external customers, DoD labs, and other government agencies on research and development, including CRAD.

Demonstrated collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain management, to ensure successful integration and identify and mitigate potential risks and issues. Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, proactive communication, and building collaborative relationships. Experience with development of air vehicle products.

Experience preparing and delivering presentations to internal leadership and external customers. Experience with strategic technical planning and proposal development. Knowledge of Earned Value Management.

Planning and management of personnel resources, staff development and capital resources. Including recruitment, selection, training, assignments, performance, merit planning, recognition and disciplinary actions. Experience supporting classified and sensitive programs.
