Job description

Summary:ย 

Direct Lab to drive retail sales through the supervision and performance of lab operations to keep within our core value of Quality-- by producing eyewear that is accurate to prescription, ready as promised, and meets our โ€œ7 Point Quality Verificationโ€, ANSI and company tolerance standards.ย 
Pay Class:Full Timeย 

Pay Rate:$16.78- 22.23/hrย 

Essential Responsibilities:ย 

1.Routinely verify that all optionsย purchasedย by the customer are delivered as promised.ย 

2.Assist in recruiting,ย selectingย and training of all lab associates on lab equipment and Lab Certification Program techniques as they progress through required certification steps.ย 

3.Ensure and verify all lab equipment is calibrated andย maintainedย through maintenance checklists; lens inventory procedures are followed; and lab expenses areย kept atย within budget. Address equipment malfunctionsย immediately.ย 

4.Communicate and work to achieve store goals with lab associates on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Routinely check work orders.ย 

5.Assist in controlling inventory shrinkage through the monitoring and recording of breakage, defects, exchanges, receipts, inventoryย levelsย and supplies.ย 

6.Schedule lab associates in compliance with payroll guidelines while considering skill levels and customer demands.ย 

7.With the support of the General Manager and/or the District Technical Manager conduct lab associate performance appraisals, and coaching / counseling meetings when expectations are not achieved.ย 

8.Ensure that all Company safety rules and standards are followedย in accordance withย the Hazardous Communication Policy to include internal handling and waste disposal.ย 

9.May act as supervisor of overall store operations inย absenceย of a Retail Supervisor and/or General Manager.ย 

10.Embrace and promote Company Culture and Code of Business Conduct.ย 

Experience/Education:ย 

ยทHS Diploma,ย GEDย or equivalent experienceย requiredย 

ยทOne (1) โ€“ five (5) years of related experienceย requiredย 

Additional Requirements:ย 

ยทCommunication, interpersonal and negotiation skillsย 

ยทMust meet all Lab Certification requirementsย 

ยทMust be able to read,ย writeย and communicate in Englishย in order toย understand written procedures, hazardous warning, etc.ย

ยทMust have own vehicle and be an insured, licensed driver in current state of residenceย
