Job Title: Laboratory Technician I

Job Summary: The laboratory Technician position performs daily lab operations through the preparation, sterilization, and organization of lab materials and equipment.

  • Plans and organizes daily workload independently and in coordination with team members to meet production goals efficiently.
  • Prepares materials for sterilization and cleans reusable laboratory materials, including glassware, glass tubes, and Morton caps, to prepare for media and lab use.
  • Maintains overall lab cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing equipment and surfaces in compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
  • Prepares and sets up various lab supplies and tools to support daily procedures and technician workflows.
  • Reads, interprets, and accurately records test results, ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards.
  • Adheres strictly to laboratory quality control protocols, company policies, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a compliant and safe work environment.
  • Responsible for the aseptic preparation and filling of microbiological culture media in a semi-cleanroom environment, ensuring sterility and product quality. Duties include operating filling equipment, maintaining sterile conditions, managing inventory of sterilized materials, and inspecting finished products post-sterility hold for contamination.
