Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:
Assists licensed CLS's in performance of a wide variety of laboratory tests by manual methods or use of various automated, mechanical or electronic devices. Once they have received their CA CLS license, they will perform the full range of duties from specimen procurement through data analysis and reporting, in order to provide data for use in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of disease in all areas of the lab and are accountable for accurate results.

Required Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of CLS training program
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts and overtime as required
  • Must be willing to testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
