Job description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide L1/L2 production application support across financial markets and trading applications.

  • Support Murex MX.3 front-to-back processes, including trade capture, pricing/valuation, confirmations, and settlement.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot EOD and DataMart batch processes, including job failures, restarts, and failure resolution.

  • Support ION gateways and FIX/API-based post-trade feeds and STP integrations.

  • Perform first-line triage of eFX and pre-trade issues, escalating complex incidents to appropriate technical teams.

  • Support market connectivity platforms including Bloomberg, MarketAxess, and Markitwire.

  • Troubleshoot FIX messages, application logs, interfaces, and data issues.

  • Support US regulatory reporting processes, including TRACE/FINRA reporting, security symbol mapping, and related EOD processes.

  • Work with SQL and Sybase databases to investigate production issues and validate data.

  • Use Linux/UNIX commands and tools for application monitoring, troubleshooting, and log analysis.

  • Manage incidents, problems, and service requests using ServiceNow/JIRA in accordance with ITIL processes.

  • Communicate effectively with business users, trading teams, developers, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders.

  • Provide clear incident updates, root-cause analysis, and appropriate escalation when required.

  • Participate in production support handovers and ensure effective continuity across global support teams.

Required Technical Skills
  • 8โ€“10 years of experience in application support, preferably within Financial Markets / Investment Banking environments.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Murex MX.3 production support.

  • Experience with L1/L2 application support and front-to-back trading workflows.

  • Strong knowledge of EOD processing, DataMart, batch monitoring, job restart, and failure triage.

  • Experience with ION Gateways.

  • Knowledge of FIX, STP, and API-based integrations.

  • Experience with eFX / FX pricing application triage.

  • Strong SQL skills; Sybase experience is advantageous.

  • Strong Linux/UNIX skills.

  • Experience with FIX and application log analysis.

  • Experience with ServiceNow and/or JIRA.

  • Understanding of ITIL-based incident and problem management.

Financial Markets Domain Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of FX and Fixed Income.

  • Experience with Interest Rate Derivatives and Credit Derivatives.

  • Exposure to Commodities and Carbon Markets is a plus.

  • Understanding of trade lifecycle processes, including trade capture, valuation, confirmation, settlement, and reporting.

  • Familiarity with US regulatory reporting, particularly TRACE/FINRA processes, is preferred.
