Job Summary:

The overall purpose of the Receptionist position is to provide secretarial and clerical support to the Administrator. This position may provide receptionist, clerical, and/or data input services for the business and/or administrative departments.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma is necessary.
  • Typing skills of 40 wpm or more are required.
  • A working knowledge of common office machines (calculator, copy machine, facsimile, and typewriter) is required.
  • Computer skills/Kronos.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Essential Functions:

  • Must dress and act in professional manner.
  • Answers telephone, receives/delivers telephone messages.
  • Greets visitors and directs to proper area.
  • May pull daily hours from the Kronos system / report labor to corporate office.
  • Prepares/types correspondence for Administrator and/or department heads.
  • Establishes and maintains effective filing systems.
  • Compiles/prepares reports, agendas and schedules as may be appropriate.
  • Maintains office supply inventories in accordance with Facility budget.
  • May process, copy and submit invoices for payment to Home Office.
  • May distribute mail.
  • May be responsible for completing employee paperwork and maintaining personnel files.
  • Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Networks Clinical Policies and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.
  • Completes other tasks/duties as assigned by the Administrator, regional or corporate management.
  • Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
  • Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
