Job description

Job Title: Document Management Administrator
Location: Remote
Duration: Longterm contract
Project description
The Document Management Admin will be responsible for the administration and operational support of multiple applications in the document capture and document repository domains. This role will be expected to actively participate in the troubleshooting and resolution of issues, both application and infrastructure related. Collaborating with internal IT teams and external partners, the role will help integrate third-party applications with document capture and document repository technologies, ensure the successful acquisition and archiving of documents, and making archived documents available for consumption by integrated applications.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Document Management Admin will be working in a team setting to support the suite of applications that make up the Document Capture and Document Repository services, ensuring the availability of these services for document acquisition, document storage, and document consumption for integrated applications:
Engage business partners to facilitate the onboarding of new customers, identify and translate business requirements into technical specifications, consult on document capture design development based on these technical requirements, and implement solutions to meet the identified business needs. Among the technologies involved are IBM Datacap, IBM Filenet, Intellective Unity, and Open Text Vignette.
Collaborate with team members, customers, and vendors to test changes in non-production environments, develop change documentations, and implement the changes in the production environment.
Collaborate with various IT teams to support annual activities, including those associated with government compliance and internal IT requirements.
Serve as level 2 support to address customer concerns related to the Document Capture and Document Repository services' application and infrastructure, oversee system performance monitoring, and ensure application availability in adherence to established service level agreements.
Participate in environment builds and configurations, application enhancements, and patching/upgrade work.
Execute on assigned tasks, including those that may be related to application, application infrastructure, database, network, and storage components, while providing timely progress updates.
Skills Must have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field, and minimum three (3) years of experience in software development or a related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, equivalent work experience of three (3) years may be substituted for a total of six (6) years of experience.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in Intellective Unity administration and integration or Apache Solr (document indexing and query)
Minimum two (2) years of experience administration and integration of document management in at least 2 of these technologies: tooling like IBM Datacap and IBM Filenet, OpenText Vignette Image Capture and OpenText Vignette Integrated Document Management
Minimum two (2) years of experience administering Linux/Unix and Windows systems, performing application installation and configuration, and developing batch and shell scripts
Minimum two (2) years of experience implementing solutions that apply development life cycles methodologies (e.g., ITIL, ITSM, SDLC)
Working knowledge of network load balancers, DB2 and Oracle RDBMS, LDAP, SQL, SSL certificates, storage technologies, and WebSphere Application Server
Experience working in an IT operational support or solution integration role
Experience writing technical documentation
Intermediate knowledge of database technologies, including DB2, Oracle, and SQL, and WebSphere Application Server
Experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
Preferred Qualifications:

Nice to have:
a. Experience in building RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) solutions and Time service forecasting.
