Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Knowledge Management Engineer to work in the Stuttgart, Germany area.

The Knowledge Management Engineer (KME) supports U.S. European Command's (EUCOM) Knowledge Management team in delivering innovative, user-centered solutions that improve decision-making, enhance information sharing, and streamline business processes. KME will be familiar with the psychology behind user interviews who can systematically capture, and organize, user insights through rigorous qualitative research methodologies and structured interview techniques. The KME applies technical expertise, customer engagement, and design thinking to develop and sustain enterprise KM tools and practices across multiple classification levels.

What you will do: 

  •  Identify opportunities for process improvement, develop Business Case Analyses, and recommend solutions for streamlining business processes through theintegration of existing tools and communication streams, the acquisition of new tools, and the development of new processes and solutions
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint Online sites, pages, lists, permission sets, forms, and out-of-the-box (OOTB) web page customizations supporting customer requirements
  • Design, build, implement and sustain SharePoint Power Applications in a SharePoint Online environment
  • Develop, build, implement and sustain workflows in Power Automate and multiple SharePoint environments supporting effective business processes and organizational knowledge capture
  • Develop, build, implement and sustain Power BI reports to facilitate organizational objectives and support knowledge flow
  • Design, coordinate, and conduct training to drive successful delivery and completion of process mapping and analysis, data collection, process modeling,and the facilitation of effective best practice Knowledge Management techniques throughout the organization
  • Work with customers to identify authoritative sources of data and to define customer specific goals for data integration and synthesis
  • Define and implement improvement projects in coordination with the Knowledge Management solutions development team
Qualifications

What you will need: 

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent: AA + 7 years, major cert + 9 years, or 11 years of direct specialized experience)
  • Handson experience with Microsoft SharePoint (2016/2019/Online), including site administration, page design, permissions, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with workflow or automation tools such as Power Automate, SharePoint Designer, or Nintex
  • Experience developing dashboards or analytics using Power BI, ServiceNow, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Background in Knowledge Management, business process mapping, or process improvement-ideally in a military or DoD environment
  • Familiarity with business process engineering methods (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) and industry KM best practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, teamoriented environment
  • Experience supporting complex, enterpriselevel technology environments
  • Ability to communicate professionally with senior stakeholders
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI
  • DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Must be able to meet TESA requirements

Desired: 

  • Certification in and/or knowledge of industry wide knowledge management,business analysis frameworks and methodologies (ie. PMP, Lean/DFSS, DMAIC)
  • Experience working in an AGILE development environment
  • Involvement with KM professional community; active in forums or newsgroups

Target Salary Range$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
