Job description

NYC Alliance Company LLC is seeking a highly skilled and creative Sweater - Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing sweaters that embody our commitment to quality, style, and innovation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that your designs meet both market trends and our brand identity.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and design a line of sweaters that reflect the latest fashion trends and align with our customers brand's identity

· Create detailed technical sketches, specifications, and presentations for production

· Collaborate with product development, marketing, and merchandising teams to bring the design vision to life

· Research and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation

· Oversee the entire design process from concept through final production, ensuring quality standards are met

· Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering creativity and collaboration within the team

· Stay updated on fabric trends, knitting techniques, and garment construction to enhance product offerings

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field

· Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in fashion design, specifically focused on sweater design

· Experience designing for discount/off price accounts a plus

· Strong portfolio that showcases creativity and expertise in sweater design

· Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, and PLM

· Thorough understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and knitting techniques

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines

· Strong passion for fashion, branding, and market trends

· Experience in working with production teams and executing designs from concept to market
