Job description

Description: 

Knights Mechanical is seeking an experienced and motivated Plumbing Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to completing projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

What Youโ€™ll Do: 

  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures in residential and commercial structures 
  • Install waste, water, vent, and gas piping systems 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, building plans, and rough sketches 
  • Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals on job sites 
  • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies 
  • Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems 
  • Install plumbing fixtures and related equipment 
  • Perform light construction tasks as needed, including carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and basic electrical work 
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job 
  • Follow all safety procedures and building code requirements 

What Youโ€™ll Bring: 

  • Skilled in the use of plumbing hand and power tools 
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and rough drawings 
  • Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper piping systems 
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities 
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision 
  • Basic math skills, including measurement conversions 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • 1โ€“3 years of experience as a journeyman plumber preferred 
  • State plumbing license preferred 
  • Valid driverโ€™s license required 
  • Must have own hand tools
