General Description:

We are seeking a Client Accounts Representative to join our team.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and contribute to the growth and success of our firm. The right individual for this role will work with Holland & Knight's Billing Attorneys, assistants, and internal teams as a liaison with clients, for the purpose of resolving client non-payment issues to improve collection realization.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Communicate and interact with attorneys, assistants, and clients.
  • Manage assigned attorneys' inventory, specifically monitoring and resolving aged invoices, credit balances, and aged unbilled work.
  • Handle all aspects of attorney and client outreach (via email, phone, and/or mail) to resolve non-payment issues.
  • Respond to collection related requests quickly, effectively, and accurately.
  • Work with peers and management on collection related requests.
  • Partner with the Billing team to resolve auditing issues, reconciliation issues, and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Communicate and report to leadership on delinquent collections and at risk inventory.
  • Expected to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule and full attention to and engagement in work activities on behalf of the firm during business hours unless otherwise approved or required by applicable law.
  • Special projects and duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite, or Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to use good judgment.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting functions.

Required Qualifications & Education:

  • 0-2 years of work in a professional environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business discipline.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (vlookup, xlookup, pivot tables).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
