General Description:

The Senior Attorney Recruiting Manager is responsible for overseeing the recruitment and hiring of lateral partners, senior counsel, and associates as well as entry-level and summer associates in South Florida, where we currently have offices in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and West Palm Beach. This position is also responsible for assisting with attorney hires in our Latin America offices. For this position, the individual would have responsibility for the recruiting efforts in the assigned offices. This position has primary responsibility for effectively managing our lateral partner recruiting efforts in assigned offices and for overseeing one or more coordinators or assistants with respect to entry-level and summer associate hiring in those same offices. This position works closely with section, practice group and office leadership to recruit, hire and integrate attorneys at all experience levels and requires an elevated level of experience and professionalism. This position reports to the Director of Legal Recruiting.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Developing and implementing effective recruiting strategies.

  • Establishing and maintaining search firm relationships.

  • Managing and developing one or more recruiting coordinators or assistants.

  • Serving as a resource for candidates.

  • Actively guiding candidates and firm partners and leaders through the recruiting process.

  • Planning candidate interviews.

  • Conducting candidate due diligence.

  • Facilitating hiring decisions.

  • Drafting employment agreements.

  • Developing and implementing lateral integration plans.

  • Keeping apprised of market conditions and trends.

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with career services offices at law schools.

  • Overseeing the summer associate program.

  • Maintaining recruiting documentation and records.

  • Special projects and duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task in a busy work environment.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a cheerful outlook.

  • Sound judgment and discretion.

Required Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 7+ years of experience in legal recruiting, including lateral partner recruitment experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in management.

Preferred Qualifications & Education:

  • JD degree preferred.

  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
