Job description

Pay Range: $19.47 - $24.00 Hourly

Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Collaborate with vendor responsible for employee accessibility to Knight-Swift buildings. Perform initial trouble-shooting assessment as to why badge equipment is not functioning accurately while assisting in daily security operations, security alarm monitoring, and managing the physical security service at the terminals. Work with various Knight-Swift business units and execute security for facility projects and special events.

  Oversee and manage the company’s nationwide access control and badging program, ensuring standardized processes, compliance, and accurate record retention.
  Administer and configure access control systems, including creation and maintenance of access levels, user groups, segmentation, and system permissions.
  Coordinate the troubleshooting and lifecycle management of physical security systems, including gates, fencing, and access control infrastructure, supporting a rapidly expanded national workload.
  Manage and track physical security work orders end-to-end, including vendor scheduling, parts coordination, and communication with terminal operations or claims to ensure timely resolution.
  Review, track, and process departmental invoices; partner with vendors and Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payment for security services and equipment.
  Conduct regular audits, quality assurance reviews, and reporting on badging and security system performance; develop and maintain metrics to support operational and risk-based decisions.
  Support onboarding initiatives by ensuring timely provisioning of secure access credentials aligned with role-based requirements.
  Develop, update, and maintain physical security policies, procedures, and training materials to align with evolving business needs and risk conditions.
  Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders and badging operators on system use, procedures, and security best practices.
  Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to improve performance, reliability, and functionality of physical security technologies, including access control, surveillance, and perimeter protection systems.
  Support C-TPAT program requirements, including maintaining compliance documentation, assisting with audits and recertifications, screening partners, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  Conduct site security assessments at terminal locations to identify vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements to physical security posture.
  Monitor and investigate security incidents through video review and system data, providing actionable insights to support Investigator response and overall prevention efforts.
  Evaluate security vendor and guard performance, providing recommendations for service improvements and alignment with company standards.
  Support overall safety and security of company facilities through cross-functional collaboration, special projects, and periodic after-hours support as required.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • 1+ years' experience with physical security issues and access control systems required.
  • Previous experience with OnGuard/Lenel and Milestone systems preferred.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service focus.
  • Must possess strong diagnostic capabilities.
  • Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with a diverse team of people, and with all levels of management.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with rapidly changing work priorities and peak periods.
  • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Tools and Windows.
  • Associates degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
