Job description
TradeWise Staffing Group has partnered with an established commercial contractor to hire an experienced Structural Steel Foreman for ongoing work in the Atlanta/Columbus, GA area. This is a direct hire, permanent position — not a temp assignment. Get on a solid crew with a company that keeps its people busy.
What you'll be running:
- Lead crews on structural steel erection for commercial and industrial projects
- Read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and erection plans
- Coordinate crane picks, rigging, and material flow on site
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and keep the crew tight and productive
- Report progress to superintendent/PM and keep the schedule moving
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years structural steel erection experience, with time running crews as a foreman
- Strong blueprint and erection drawing knowledge
- Rigging and signaling experience; comfortable coordinating crane operations
- Solid safety record and OSHA 30 (preferred)
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between Atlanta/Columbus job sites
- Leadership presence — someone the crew respects and follows
