Overview

We are looking for a Knife Sharpener here in our Pleasantville, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all tasks conducted by the team in the sharpening process
  • Maintain sharpening equipment and workstations in a clean, organized manner, performing routine inspections and minor maintenance.
  • Identify and report any quality concerns related to cutlery or knife box inventory.
  • Uphold a clean, safe, and efficient work environment, strictly following all company safety protocols.
  • Operate sharpening machinery with skill and attention to detail, adhering to OSHA and company safety regulations.
  • Gain expertise in blade grinding and sharpening techniques.
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a meticulous approach to craftsmanship.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as necessary to support production flow.

Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for a minimum of 3 hours at a time.
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to communicate frequently and constantly maintain visual acuity in a busy production environment
  • Must be able to operate machinery safely for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand and move about the building and/or reach, bend, or twist.

Compensation Range: Hourly Rate up to $23.00/ HR Contingent upon Experience
