Job description

We are a Well-Established multi-location Ophthalmology office seeking a Medical Receptionist,  willing to travel to the 3 locations  BOCA STUART AND PALM BEACH GARDENS who is proficient in Ophthalmology Diagnosis and CPT codes . The ideal candidate is extremely organized, dependable, and passionate about providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced medical office environment. Looking for a warm and friendly professional who is proficient with EMR/EMA systems. 
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients with professionalism and compassion.
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars across multiple providers
- verify insurance benefits and collect copayments
-Accurately enter patient information into EMR system
-Assist with medical billing and coding (ICD-10, CPT) (as needed)
-Submit claims, follow up on denials, and process payments (as needed)
-Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
-Confirm and remind patients of upcoming appointments
-Assist virtual assistant with daily tasks and handle incoming calls when she is on break
-Schedule surgeries and obtain clearances
-Maintain a master surgery calendar and communicate changes and surgeries promptly
-Verify insurance benefits for surgical procedures 
EMR and properly document all Ophthalmology Codes in paper files and electronic files.  
Requirements: (Please ONLY apply if you have these skills under your belt already with 3+ years experience) and are willing to travel (with compensation) to the 3 offices OR willing to work 2-3 days a week in the area closest to where you live.
3+ years experience in medical office preferably Ophthalmology
Ophthalmology CPT Codes and Diagnosis Codes knowledge 
Strong knowledge of medical billing and coding
Proficient with MODMED, NextGen, Klara, Availity.
Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
