Position Summary

The Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and smooth workflow across the kitchen, service, and storage areas. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in teamwork, cleanliness, and efficiency in a fast-paced service environment.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dishpit, café, restroom, and service areas, including bus bins, floors, surfaces, and equipment.

  • Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and cookware promptly and thoroughly and replenish stock in the kitchen and on the floor as needed.

  • Assist with trash and recycling removal in accordance with health and safety standards.

  • Support Kitchen Leader and BOH staff with basic prep tasks as needed (e.g., carrying supplies, organizing storage,etc.)

  • Receive, move, and properly store deliveries of food, beverages, and supplies.

  • Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations.

  • Restock supplies such as paper goods, cleaning materials, service items, etc.

  • Assist with opening and closing cleaning duties.

  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety guidelines.

  • Perform additional tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned to support daily operations.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or bakery environment preferred but not required.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical tasks (standing, lifting, bending.)

  • Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.

  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.

  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.

  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends and holidays.

  • A strong sense of urgency is essential.
