Looking for a Kitchen Manager role with variety, growth and a supportive team? Join Tailwind Concessions, a national company with locations spanning coast to coast. As a leader in airport food, beverage and retail, we’re committed to providing a unique and memorable experience for our guests. We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager who's passionate about crafting delicious food, leading a high performing team and delivering a memorable culinary experience.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partners with the GM to lead a rock star team
  • Train, supervise, and coach kitchen staff to deliver consistent food quality and great service
  • Communicate information to kitchen staff
  • Assist in scheduling kitchen staff in their work assignments
  • Promote a positive guest experience, resolving any issues professionally and quickly
  • Responsible to monitor as well as take action to make sure food quality service standards are met
  • Monitor food preparation and ensure consistent quality, taste and presentation
  • Minimizing loss misuse
  • Ensure safe, responsible and legal serving of all alcoholic beverages
  • Ensure that equipment is maintained as outlined in the restaurant safety and preventive maintenance program
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering as well as retrieving supplies plus stocking by stooping, bending, lifting heavy articles reaching overhead
  • Evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:

  • MUST HAVE 2 YEARS CULINARY EXPERIENCE, preferably kitchen management
  • Capable of working in a standing position for long periods of time (minimum of 8 hours a day)
  • Capable of reaching, bending, and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Some weekend days required as well as mornings and evenings
