Job description

Position Description: We are seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician (PM Technician / Helper) who will be responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) services on commercial refrigeration, ice machines, HVAC, and light commercial kitchen equipment. This role focuses on equipment reliability, cleanliness, compliance with customer PM standards, and early identification of potential failures. The technician serves as a professional on-site representative of the company and plays a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction and long-term equipment performance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems, including:
• Reach-in refrigerators and freezers
• Walk-in coolers and basic walk-in freezers
• Ice machines and ice dispensers
• Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment components to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency
• Identify potential mechanical or operational issues and report findings to dispatch or service management
• Assist lead technicians when required and support corrective repairs as directed
• Accurately document PM work performed, findings, and recommendations using service tickets or digital systems

Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of basic refrigeration principles and ice machine operation
• Experience performing preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following established procedures
• Strong communication skills with both customers and internal teams
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
