As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support with meal service, table set-up, and clean-up. You will contribute to creating enjoyable dining experiences that support residentsโ€™ health and well-being. โ€ข Responsible for all aspects of hospitality style dining service utilizing the Ready, Set, Serve Program as it applies to the serveries area, setting, serving and cleaning tables

โ€ข Assisting with the preparation and presentation of food under the direction of the Chef

โ€ข Carrying out general cleaning duties and routines, including scraping, washing, stacking and storage of dishes

โ€ข Practicing and maintaining established standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout all aspects of food preparation and service as required by the health department

โ€ข Promoting and tracking a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed procedures

โ€ข Performing other duties as assigned

What you need to know:

โ€ข Grade 10 minimum education required

โ€ข Must have Smart Serve designation and one year experience in dining room service

โ€ข Proven customer service skills and excellent command of verbal and written English language

โ€ข Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team

โ€ข Safe Food Handling Certification preferred

โ€ข You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit

โ€ข You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
