Job Description: Kitchen Assistant

Reports To: Kitchen Director

Time Commitment: Approx. 20 hrs per week. Mondays And Fridays 1-6pm

Pay: $25 Per Hour

Status: Part-Time


The Kitchen Assistant is the person who assists the Kitchen Director in all things. They run point on cleanliness, assisting in cooking evening meals, and helps ensure everything runs smoothly in the kitchen.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining room
  • Assist with prep work during down time
  • Assist with light cooking when needed
  • Serve food to clients
  • Wash dishes
  • Hold appropriate boundaries with students
  • Help prepare for Family Days
  • Takes on any as needed responsibilities assigned by the Kitchen Director

Qualifications:

  • Must complete Direct Care Training
  • Food Handlers Permit (current)
