Since its inception in 2014, CityBridge has partnered with NYC to embark on an ambitious, first-of-its-kind plan to create the largest and fastest free public Wi-Fi network in the world. CityBridge's mission is to provide NYC residents and visitors with free and equitable access to connectivity, information, and wireless services across the 5 boroughs.

LinkNYC is the world's largest and fastest free public Wi-Fi network. Each Link kiosk provides free superfast Wi-Fi, phone calls, device charging, access to social services, and displays content such as real-time weather, transit info, public art, and local information. The city-wide network has more than 17 million Wi-Fi users and has connected more than 30 million free phone calls. All of LinkNYC's services are completely free to users and taxpayers, provided by CityBridge, a joint venture led by Intersection Media and Boldyn Networks. The second generation offering will deploy thousands of new kiosks, called Link5G, enabled with 5G wireless technology across the city. What is the Role?
As a Kiosk Maintenance Technician at Intersection, you will assist in maintaining these kiosks in NYC. You should be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and you must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record. You should be comfortable working in the elements year-round. Knowledge of Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs is a plus.
Hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday - Friday
What you will accomplish:
  • Kiosk paint maintenance
  • Kiosk aesthetic replacements
  • Tablet aesthetic replacements
  • Netcap remediations
  • Netcap install
  • Air filter replacement
  • Cooling Fan replacement
  • Assist Digital Field Technician field work
  • Deliver parts to the field
  • Assist in the warehouse and on bench repair

You're a great fit for this role because:
  • Comfort and familiarity with electro-mechanical components
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools (ie drills, screwdrivers and wrenches), may require use of specialized tools
  • Follow documented procedures (ours or generally accepted procedures, please clarify) in fitting, adjusting and proper functioning of parts
  • Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and procedures
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to lift and sustain 50 lbs. overhead for a short period of time
  • A self-starter is preferred
