JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the triaging of incoming emergency and non-emergency calls for service while dispatching the appropriate units, including outside agencies. Monitors multiple radio channels, surveillance cameras, meteorological equipment, and life safety building alarm equipment to ensure the safety and security of everyone on UKR property. Provides critical incident information via notifications to company management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives incoming calls for service for all Universal Kids Resort departments, triages them depending on the request, and dispatches the appropriate units to include outside emergency response agencies and third-party vendors. Maintains composure and established procedures when dealing with emergency situations.
  • Actively monitors surveillance systems, building life safety alarm systems, elevator call boxes, and meteorological systems to ensure the safety of our Guests and Team Members throughout the resort.
  • Acts as the centralized hub of communication for all departments at Universal Kids Resort, including the theme park and hotel. Provides incident notifications to predetermined UKR Leadership and Universal Destination & Experiences (UDX) stakeholders, including executives.
  • Accurately completes the appropriate documentation related to radios, telephones and key logs, daily and incident blotter reports, and other departmental operating documents.
  • Communicates any Team Member or Guest concerns to Security leadership for resolution. Gathers and relays relevant information through various forms of equipment.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule based on business needs.
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • A background check is mandatory, and results must meet Universal Destinations and Experience's background check criteria.
  • Must be able to maintain composure when dealing with emergency situations and professionally and accurately relay or communicate information to senior leadership.

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:

  • Required to successfully attend and pass all recurring mandatory/legal licenses and certifications as a condition of employment.
  • Level 2 (Non-Commissioned) Security License is required.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ years of Security or Dispatch experience is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
