The Opportunity:ย 


OBI Creative is seeking a Manager, Media Strategy & Planning to lead OBI's media practice through strategic planning, performance oversight, and team leadership. Reporting to the VP, Integrated Marketing, you'll guide integrated paid media strategy, oversee the health of client accounts, develop a talented team of media buyers, and serve as OBI's primary strategic contact for key media platforms and vendors.ย 


What You'll Do:ย 

  • Media Strategy & Planning: Lead integrated paid media strategy by aligning audience insights, business objectives, and budget investments across digital and traditional channels. Guide annual planning, campaign recommendations, and channel allocation to deliver measurable business results.ย 
  • Media Performance & Account Oversight: Provide strategic oversight across all media accounts by monitoring campaign performance, reviewing dashboards, and guiding optimization decisions.ย ย 
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop a talented team of media buyers by providing strategic guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.ย ย 
  • Platform Partnerships & Innovation: Serve as OBI's primary strategic contact for key media partners. Build strong relationships, evaluate emerging capabilities, and introduce new opportunities and best practices that strengthen OBI's media practice.ย

  • Strategic Media Expertise: ย 7+ years of hands-on media experience across planning, strategy or buying, with direct responsibility for developing media plans, making channel and budget recommendations and evaluating campaign performance. ย ย 
  • Leadership & Team Development: Experience leading, coaching and developing media professionals while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth. Passion for building stronger strategists, not just stronger campaigns.ย 
  • Performance & Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance, identify optimization opportunities, and guide data-driven decisions across multiple client accounts.ย 
  • Integrated Paid Media Expertise: Deep understanding of today's paid media ecosystem, including paid search, paid social, programmatic, streaming, and traditional media. Comfortable leading integrated planning conversations across channels. ย 
  • Programmatic & DSP Experience: ย Hands-on experience working within DSP platforms and programmatic campaigns, with the ability to guide strategy, optimization and best practices while coaching team members. ย 
  • Client Leadership & Communication: Ability to present media strategy and performance insights clearly to clients and internal stakeholders, building trust and serving as a confident advisor.ย
