At Standard Beer + Food, Raleigh’s favorite neighborhood eatery, we are committed to serving the Raleigh community by offering quality food, drinks and hospitality. We are seeking an individual who is positive, self-motivated, and has a passion for quality food, beverage, and service. This candidate must be able to foster teamwork and the ability to skillfully navigate a variety of personalities. We are looking to hire someone who holds themselves to a high standard of excellence and finds fulfillment and motivation in hospitality and the guest experience. 

Job Summary: 
The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food and beverages from the kitchen/bar respectively to tables promptly and accurately, ensuring guest satisfaction, efficient service, and maintaining the dining room. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly, professional demeanor. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  1. Food Delivery: 
    • Deliver prepared food and beverages from the kitchen/bar and deliver them to guests’ tables quickly and efficiently. 
    • Ensure each order is accurate and properly presented before serving. 
  2. Guest Interaction: 
    • Check in with guests to ensure their orders meet expectations and address any immediate needs. 
    • Report any quality or service issues to managers quickly and efficiently.
    • Respond promptly to guest requests for additional items or assistance.
  3. Communication:
    • Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth and timely service. 
    • Relay special requests or dietary restrictions from guests to the kitchen. 
  4. Presentation and Cleanliness: 
    • Ensure food and beverages are served in a neat and presentable manner. 
    • Clear and reset tables as guests finish their meals, maintaining a clean dining area. 
    • Help with bussing tables, refilling water, and other duties as needed.
