Job Description

Purpose of the position:

Providing quality department responsibilities in a SQF Certified food manufacturing facility. The roles can broadly fall under regulatory oversite, quality performance in both production and product. The associate will need to grow into the multi-faceted roles encompassing the various roles. Initially they will provide support as they are trained in expanding quality roles. This position directly reported to quality assurance manager.


Key responsibilities & duties:

  • Implementing day-to-day work including review line set up paperwork according to schedule, check on the set up of lines such as bottles, date code, customer supply or printed labels at the beginning of the shift or during changeover to ensure correct set-up.
  • Providing technical expertise to track products from start to finish and develop corrective actions when needed.
  • Communicate with QA manager or other department managers when non-compliance is found.
  • Inspect the product coming off the lines to meet all specifications and attributes.
  • Document the inspection results online pack out sheet and QA daily worklist.
  • Assisting in ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF System.
  • Assisting QA Department on company-wide assigned QA tasks after training.
  • Monitor and coach proper GMP’s.
  • Train and coach associates as needed.
  • Assist and perform continuous improvement projects as needed.


Work experience & skills:

  • At least one year’s experience working in a fast-paced production environment in a quality assurance role.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail person who enjoys learning and improving food safety within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure effective communication verbally and written.
  • Receptive to both technical and behavioral training.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills
  • Basic software experience in Word and Excel.
  • Able to work with urgency when the situation demands, and then slow and methodical when situation changes.
