Job description

OFS is seeking an experienced Fabric Cutter/Operator for their seating division. Attention to detail, a sense of urgency and good work ethic are keys to success in this role. As a key member of the seating team, this individual will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Fabric Cutting
    • Accurately measure and cut fabric according to specified patterns and designs
    • Utilize Lectra cutting machines and hand-cutting tools to achieve precise cuts
    • Ensure minimal fabric wastage through efficient cutting techniques
  • Inspection
    • Inspect incoming fabrics for defects and inconsistencies
    • Identify and document any defects, ensuring that quality standards are upheld
  • General Duties
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area
    • Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
    • Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure efficient workflow

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience as a Fabric Cutter, preferably with Lectra cutting machines
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD programs
  • Strong knowledge of fabric types including upholstery material, vinyl and leather
  • Previous cutting and inspection experience
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • General computer skills
