The Account Manager II oversees assigned Generac accounts and associated support organizations in the Madison, WI territory. The Account Manager II has the responsibility to develop short- and long-range goals for assigned accounts and lead Generac clients to achieve objectives. This role acts as the primary corporate contact to manage relationships, execute new growth strategies, integrate field efforts, and uphold margins with key accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts market and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and inform sales strategy.

  • Develops and executes short- and long-term tactical sales plans for assigned accounts.

  • Drives field sales performance through actionable business plans that deliver customer value.

  • Builds and strengthens customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and resolving issues.

  • Partners with Marketing to launch new products, programs, and channel-specific promotions to increase market share.

  • Develops new customers while expanding revenue through sales and promotional opportunities with existing accounts.

  • Manages key account initiatives including projects, product line reviews, and sales expansion opportunities.

  • Provides product knowledge training and communicates critical customer and market insights to internal stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 4 years retail account experience in sales or marketing

  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Compensation: Energy Systems is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionallylift upto 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel up to 60% and valid drivers license required.
